Lego Ninjago is a current line of sets produced by Lego. It uses ninjas from the previous Ninja series. There are several changes from the previous series. These include the removal of the Shogun and Bandits, and the introduction of the Skulkin, Serpentine, Stone Army, Nindroid Army, Anacondrai Cultists and Ghost Warriors. Also noticeable is the inclusion of advanced vehicles which imply a more modern setting than the feudal Japan setting of the previous incarnation.

Dragons have recently become a significant part of Ninjago. An Elemental Dragon was introduced for every Ninja. However, they soon migrated to the Spirit Coves and combined into one four-headed Ultra Dragon. This dragon was soon used by the Green Ninja. Ninjago later introduced the Golden Dragon, an ancient fighting animal given to Lloyd, passed down by the First Spinjitzu Master; the MechDragon, a cybernetic creature built by the Digital Overlord to capture the Golden Ninja; the Titanium Dragon, an elemental dragon belonging to the Titanium Ninja, Zane; and the Morro Dragon, a dragon belonging to Morro. Every Dragon's head (except for the MechDragon, Titanium Dragon, Master Wu Dragon and Morro Dragon) launches a Dragon Sphere, which is used in battle to knock down enemies.

Ninjago started off in 2011 with a pilot film and a wave of LEGO sets, focusing on the 4 Ninja's battles with the Skulkin army. After its success, a TV series was made in 2012 featuring Season 1: Rise of the Snakes with another wave of sets and a more modern twist; featuring cities, mechs, and vehicles. Season 2: Rise of the Spinjitzu Master and more sets were made featuring the final battle between Lloyd and the Overlord. Although, this was intended to be the end of Ninjago, it continued in 2014 with Season 3: Rebooted as well as the sets, featuring a futuristic plot and the Ninja's battle with the Digital Overlord and his robotic Nindroid Army. Season 4: Tournament of Elements aired in early 2015 was about the Ninja's battles with the Anacondrai Cultists on Master Chen's island and ended on April 3, 2015. Season 5: Possession where the Ninja battle the Cursed Ghosts from the Cursed Realm premiered in Summer 2015. Ninjago will have a movie in 2017 .[1]

Pilot (2011)

The theme centers on the world of Ninjago, home to both modern cities and ancient villages. Ninjago was created by the First Master of Spinjitzu using the Four Golden Weapons: the Sword of Fire, the Nunchucks of Lightning, the Scythe of Quakes, and the Shurikens of Ice. The four had so much power that no one could wield all four except for the master himself. He had two sons, Garmadon and Wu, who guarded the weapons and banished enemies into the Underworld, including the four-armed beast Samukai. After the First Spinjitzu Master died, his evil son Garmadon wanted to use the Golden Weapons to recreate Ninjago in his own evil image. However, younger brother Wu fought Garmadon, and Garmadon was banished to the Underworld, vowing to return one day. Wu then hid the weapons in different parts of Ninjago and gave the map to his friend. However, peace didn't last for long, as Lord Garmadon defeated Samukai, the former general, and took control over the Skulkin Army.

Years later, Kai and Nya ran the blacksmith shop, Four Weapons in Ignacia. One day, they met Wu who told Kai he had "all tools for a samurai but nothing for a ninja!" After he left, the shop was attacked by Samukai and the Skulkin Army. The Skulkin stole a map hidden in the shop and kidnapped Kai's sister, Nya. Sensei Wu then told him about the history of Ninjago; how Garmadon wanted the Golden Weapons for himself and how Kai was the son of Wu's friend. In order to get Nya back, Kai went to Sensei Wu's monastery and trained to become a Ninja. There he met Wu's other three Ninja Jay, Cole, and Zane. Sensei Wu gave them elemental Ninja outfits and informed them that they each represented an element. Kai Master of Fire, Cole Master of Earth, Jay Master of Lightning, and Zane Master of Ice. He then told them the Lord Garmadon had returned and is bent on taking the Golden Weapons to recreate Ninjago in his own image. Using their Ninja skills, the Ninja sneaked into the Caves of Despair, home of the Scythe of Quakes, and took the weapon as well as the map the skeletons stole. With the map, they ventured to the Frozen Wasteland and Floating Ruins where they retrieved the Shurikens of Ice and Nunchucks of Lightning. After resting in the Forest of Tranquility, Kai is led to a trap in the Fire Temple by Garmadon. There Lord Garmadon in shadow form tells Kai he must pull out the Sword of Fire or he will burn Nya. Kai pulls out the Sword of Fire and rescues Nya. He then tells Shadow Garmadon that he cannot hurt his because he is only a shadow. Garmadon replies by saying, "Even shadows have their uses!" and making Kai be attacked by his own shadow. However, Sensei Wu arrives and rescues Kai. He takes the Sword of Fire and takes a route to the Underworld. In the meantime, Samukai and his troops steal the Ninja's remaining Golden Weapons. The Skulkin escape to the Underworld, but the Ninja realize they can also get there with their Elemental Dragons. After making it to the Underworld, they use the Tornado of Creation to create a ferris wheel to trap the skeletons and make it into Lord Garmadon's room. There, they watch Sensei Wu with the Sword of Fire fighting Samukai with the three other Golden Weapons. Sensei Wu loses the battle and Samukai obtains all four Golden Weapons. However, he goes against Garmadon and plans to use them to become the ruler, again. Lord Garmadon smiles as he watches Samukai explode, since no mortal can handle the power of all four weapons. The weapons open a portal through a different world, which Lord Garmadon enters, so he will one day have enough power to handle all four weapon. After Garmadon disappears, the Ninja take the Golden Weapons and continue training with Sensei Wu, knowing one day he will return.[3][4]

Season 1: Rise of the Snakes (2011-2012)

The Ninja soon get the message that Lord Garmadon has returned and is approaching Jamanakai Village. The Ninja hanged him on a sign and returned to the monastery. During the hurry, Kai had accidentally picked up a scroll belonging to Sensei Wu. It said that "One Ninja will rise above the others and become the Green Ninja. The Green Ninja will defeat the Dark Lord." The Ninja had a sparring tournament to see who would become the Green Ninja. However, they almost burned down the monastery. Wu informed them that they should first unlock their full potential and none of them have what it takes to become the Green Ninja. Meanwhile, Lloyd journeyed to the Glacier Barrens, where he accidentally released the Hypnobrai, a race of Serpentine (snake-like people) who had the ability to hypnotize others. The general, Slithera tried hypnotizing Lloyd, but accidentally got into control of Lloyd. Lloyd then told the Hypnobrai to steal all candy from Jamanakai Village. There, he plans a Slither Pit where he fights the four snake generals and uses Sensei Wu's sacred flute to win. Lloyd sneaks into the city but gets captured. Meanwhile, the Ninja obtain Zen-eXtreme outfits and meet a mysterious Samurai X who appears to have rivalry with the Ninja. However, Kai discovers Samurai is actually Nya.[7]

After defeating them, the Ninja meet Misako, Lloyd's mom, who works at the museum to try to prevent the Final Battle. She also explains the Ninja the longer history of Ninjago. When the First Spinjitzu Master created Ninjago, an evil had to exist as well. That's when the Overlord emerged. He battled the Overlord, but they were evenly matched. In order to disturb the balance, the Overlord create an indestructible Stone Army. The First Spinjitzu Master knew he could not win, so he split Ninjago in half, banishing the Overlord in the other side. After learning this, a giant Stone Warrior is awakened from the venom of the Great Devourer. The Ninja try fighting him, but are no match. Lloyd then tricks the warrior and traps him back into the hole he was found in. Meanwhile, Garmadon plans to go to the "Dark Island" written in Captain Soto's log book. However, the Serpentine generals betray him and throw him off their Rattlecopter. Lord Garmadon then washes up on the island, where he meets the Overlord, who appears to be a small purple ball of dark energy. Garmadon then pulls four knobs, bringing the island up from the ocean.

The Day Ninjago Stood Still: After the Serpentine betray Garmadon, Skales becomes the new leader. He and the Serpentine plan to dig beneath Ninjago City, starting a massive earthquake. While digging, they come across a tomb with ancient characters and even a picture of Skales. After they arrive inside, they see a frozen Stone Army. However, the Great Devourers venom soon leaks in the tomb, bringing to army back to life. The Serpentine fight the Stone Army, but lose and are trapped in the tomb. The Stone Army then attacks and destroys Ninjago City. The citizens fly on the Destiny's Bounty, where they lead to a safe spot. Meanwhile, Lord Garmadon obtains the Helmet of Shadows, which allows him to control the Stone Army, and starts the Celestial Clock's countdown to the Final Battle.

The Last Voyage: The next day, the Ninja see the Stone Army has disappeared and that there is a Dark Island. The Ninja sail onward to the island, but are attacked by villainous starteeth, starfish-like sea creatures that eat through ships. The Ninja survive, but crash into a prison. There they see Dr. Julien, Zane's father. He tells the Ninja that after he died, Samukai came to his fortress and revived him with a special liquor. He told him to build state of the art war machines for their army, but the doctor refused. He locked him in the prison and told him if he doesn't build them, he will never see Zane, again. Samukai also locked up a leviathan, to make sure he did not escape. With Dr. Julien's help, the Ninja repair the bounty, but are attacked by the leviathan. Zane then throws himself into the ocean, where uses the starteeth to free the leviathan, who ends up being friendly to the Ninja. Meanwhile, Lord Garmadon and the Overlord plan on building a super weapon.

Island of Darkness: The Ninja arrive at the Island, where Misako states there is an Temple of Light, where the Ninja will get their elemental power back and Lloyd will master the Golden Dragon. The Ninja locate the temple using a medallion, but are spotted by the Stone Army. They escape on the Earth Driller and Fire Mech, built by Nya and Dr. Julien and arrive at the Temple of Light. There, they get Elemental Blades and kimonos and Lloyd masters the Golden Dragon. The Stone Army arrives, but the Ninja use their new powers to defeat them.

The Last Hope: The Ninja plan to try to foil Garmadon's plans, by stealing his Helmet of Shadows and using it to stop the Celestial Clock. However, their plan fails as the Ninja are too late to stop the countdown to the Final Battle. The Horns of Destruction blow as the super weapon is complete and being powered. The Stone Army captured Nya and the Ninja fall off a cliff, into a lake. The Ninja then plan to prepare for the Final Battle. Meanwhile, the Overlord presents his super weapon to Lord Garmadon; the Garmatron.

Return of the Overlord: Lord Garmadon and the Overlord test their Dark Matter on Nya, turning her evil. They drive the Garmatron to the island's beach, where they shoot dark matter missiles to Ninjago. After the villain's victory, the Overlord betrays Lord Garmadon and possess his body. The new Overlord then fights Lloyd. Unfortunately, Lloyd was defeated and had an injured leg. After defeating Lloyd, the Overlord plans to shoots Dark Matter at Ninjago City, but is stopped by the Ninja. He opens a portal to Ninjago and goes there with his army, leaving the Ninja stranded on the Dark Island.

Rise of the Spinjitzu Master: The Ninja escape on the island after finding the First Spinjitzu Master's golden battle mech, now used by Lloyd and meeting the Ultra Dragon. They enter the city, which has now turned into night and all the inhabitants, except Darreth have become evil. The Overlord has used this evil to turn into his original form, a large dragon. The Garmatron has also converted into a fortress. The Ninja fight the Stone Warriors, but Evil Nya destroys Lloyd's mech. The Ninja are about to lose, until Darreth arrives and takes the Helmet of Shadows, convincing to warriors to become good and fight the Overlord. However, Nya shots down the entire army. The Ninja try making it to the top of the Garmatron tower, but only Lloyd goes up safely. There, he and the Overlord start the Final Battle. The Overlord spits a massive amount of Dark Matter from his mouth, but Lloyd shields himself using his Golden Power. After doing this, Lloyd unlocks his true potential, becoming the Golden Ninja. The summons the Golden Dragon and tackles the Overlord. However, the Overlord brings complete darkness to Ninjago, turning the size of the entire city and swallowing the Golden Dragon. However, Lloyd's Golden Power is too strong as it defeats the Overlord, bringing peace upon Ninjago. The Ninja celebrate and Lord Garmadon also turns back into his good human form. Lloyd and his family walk away, as the Ninja vow to Sensei Wu they will always be Ninja and they'll be ready for any threat.

Though Ninjago was intended to be discontinued in 2014 and replaced by a new theme titled Legends of Chima, an official on the LEGO website has stated that both themes will exist at the same time.[16]

Season 3: Rebooted (2014)

The third season of Ninjago includes a futuristic plot about the Ninja's battles with the Digital Overlord who plans on becoming the legendary Golden Master and taking over New Ninjago City. The Surge: Ever since the Ninja defeated the Overlord and his Stone Army, much of Ninjago City was in ruins. However, inventor Cyrus Borg encourages the people to rebuild their city. Ninjago City becomes New Ninjago City, a futuristic metropolis; and Cyrus Borg builds the massive, 100-story Borg Industries on exact same place the Garmatron was destroyed. While Lloyd tours Ninjago celebrating his victory, the original four ninja—Kai, Cole, Jay, and Zane—have become teachers in Sensei Wu’s Academy. Besides being bored in class all day, Kai and the rest of the ninjas dream of the days when they fought the forces of evil, but in the updated and technologically advanced world of Ninjago, there is no need for ninja any longer, but... there was a return of an old enemy... While Borg was working on a video game called the Digiverse, he had also discovered that the Overlord reappeared as a computer virus, known as the Digital Overlord. He was locked in the main hard drive in Borg industries. Soon, the famed inventor Cyrus Borg invites the four Ninja to Borg Industries for a "field trip." At Borg Industries, Zane meets P.I.X.A.L., whom he starts to have feelings for. P.I.X.A.L had asked Zane to scan him to make Nindroids, which will show soon in Episode 28: The Art Of The Silent Fist. When the Ninja made it to Borg's office, he gives them a golden statue of himself. However, he tells Kai to protect "them" with their lives and that "he's" listening. While the Ninja were carrying the statue in the elevator, it breaks. Inside, are new techno style Ninja suits and "Techno Blades". The ninja are confused what the blades do, but soon they discover it can hack technologies. Zane hacks a hovercopter, making it the NinjaCopter; Kai hacks a fighter jet, making it the Kai Fighter; Jay hacks a super-hybrid assault vechicle, making it the Lightning Off-roader; and Cole hacks a security mech, making it the Earth Mech . When Overlord discovers that Ninja found the Techno blades, he corrupts New Ninjago City with the Overlord virus. He takes control of Cyrus Borg, by blowtorching cybernetic parts to him and possessing his MechChair. He plans to use the Golden Ninja's power to escape the Digiverse and become physical. Ninja escape with the Golden Ninja and the Techno Blades. However, Sensei Wu gets captured.

The Art of the Silent Fist: P.I.X.A.L, corrupted by the Overlord Virus, creates the army of evil Nindroids led by General Cryptor. The Overlord commands the Nindroids to find the Ninja and accessed Sensei Wu's memory. He discovered the Ninja were hiding in Sensei Garmadon's monastery. Meanwhile, the Ninja visit the monastery, where Sensei Garmadon teaches them the art of the silent fist. P.I.X.A.L attempts to steal the Techno Blades, but Zane uses his Techno Blade to hack her, freeing her from the virus. She tells the Ninja that the Techno Blades have the ability to wipe away the Overlord for good. However, she also informed them that Nindroids will attack. After escaping the Nindroids the Ninja decide it's wiser to split up. Lloyd and his father escape from the Ninja, while the Ninja hide in a circus car. The Nindroids search the car, but the Ninja hid in a magic trick box. They planned to go the power substation to turn off all the power in Ninjago. They succeed doing so. However, P.I.X.A.L. gets powered down, too.

Blackout: A while later, a "stranger" steals the hard-drive containing Digital Overlord. Using Electro-Cobrai to reawaken him, they team up and plan to use their power against the Ninja. He also turns Sensei Wu into Tech Wu, an evil

Meanwhile, Garmadon and Lloyd travel to Hiroshy's Laborynth, but are attacked by the Nindroids. Garmadon and Tech Wu battle, but Garmadon loses. While Lloyd escapes on his motorcycle, he gets captured by the Stranger, who is revealed as Pythor having survived being eaten by the Great Devourer but his skin got bleached white. Lloyd is then taken prison in the MechDragon and Garmadon is thrown in the ocean.

Enter the Digiverse: The Ninja meet Cyrus Borg and enter the Digiverse, where they can reboot the system and destroy the Overlord. The Ninja do so, and New Ninjago City is saved. Wu also turns good again and Lloyd escapes to a village. However, the Overlord had completed part of his body in the process, allowing him to exist in a 90% complete body.

Codename: Arcturus: With the Overlord defeated and Ninjago saved, the Ninja learn that Pythor and the Nindroids are planning on "Project: Arcturus". Lloyd gives up his Golden Power in the Temple of Light, as the Golden Power too big of a responsibility for him to handle, and gives the Ninja their Elemental Powers back. Kai is to spy on Pythor and General Cryptor to find out what the project is. However, Kai gets excited after getting the Prototype X-1, and attacks them. He learns that the Overlord is still alive but gets captured. Meanwhile, Zane and Sensei Garmadon assume that the Overlord wants to obtain the Golden Weapons in space, so he can become the Golden Master. But, The Golden Weapons are located on a Comet in space. The Ninja go to Ouroborus, where the Ninja discover Arcturus is a rocket built by the OverBorg, Cyrus Borg turned evil again, and blast off into space.

The Void: The Ninja blast off to space with the Nindroids. The Nindroids land on a comet and find the Golden Weapons, now combined into a golden ball. The Ninja chase them and steal General Cryptor's key to Arcturus. However, the Ninja realize that the shuttle has now been eaten by metal-eating flies and are stranded on the comet as General Cryptor and the Nindroids blast away with the weapons. Meanwhile, Pythor, the OverBorg, and the Overlord arrive at Borg Industries, which they take over. However, Garmadon, Wu, Nya, and P.I.X.A.L. escape to Garmadon's monastery.

The Titanium Ninja: The Ninja build a rocket out of the remains of Arcturus and return to Ninjago. There, they see that the Overlord has become the Golden Master and is terrorizing New Ninjago City. He has also constructed a Golden Armor from the Golden Weapons, making anyone who touches him die. The Ninja escape to the Temple of Fortitude, where they use a force-field to block the Overlord and meet the others. Cyrus Borg tells the Ninja he has a weapon that can defeat the Overlord, a shrinking pill. The Ninja wear armored robes to protect themselves from the Golden Master and have the Senseis close enough to throw it in the Overlord's mouth. They do so, but Pythor gets in the way and it gets in his mouth, turning the Anacondrai general into a small helpless being. The Overlord then captures the Ninja with his Golden Powers, but Zane sacrifices himself to the Golden Master, saving the Ninja. He uses his ice powers to destroy the Golden Master once and for all, but dies in the process. There, the Ninja have a funeral for Zane where Cyrus Borg learns humanity is more important than technology and dubs Zane "The Titanium Ninja". Meanwhile, P.I.X.A.L. is in Borg Industries, depressed. However, the computers start to show Zane's moments with P.I.X.A.L. on the screens. P.I.X.A.L. rushes into the factory line, where Zane says, "Are we compatible now?"

Season 4: Tournament of Elements (2015)

The fourth season of Ninjago centers on a less technological plot about the Ninja trying to win Zane back in Master Chen's Tournament of Elements, as well as battling his group of Anacondrai following warriors. New Ninjago City also appears to be more technologically balanced, having both modern and futuristic architecture, and removing hovering objects such as hover-cars, hover-bridges, and hover-signs.

The Invitation: The Ninja team is fractured after the loss of Zane. However, the while eating at Chen's Noodles, the ninja get the message that Zane is still alive have to compete in Master Chen's Tournament of Elements if they want to see him again. The Ninja are supposed to keep the tournament secret, but Sensei Garmadon talks to Lloyd and he asks Garmadon if other people have elemental powers like the ninja. While boarding on Chen's ship, they see the other contestants are descendants of the Elemental Masters, guardians of the First Spinjitzu Master, and learn they are not the only ones with elemental power. The Elemental Masters include Skylor, Master of Amber; Karlof, Master of Metal; Griffin Turner, Master of Speed; Paleman, Master of Light; Toxikita, Master of Poison; Ash, Master of Smoke; Bolobo, Master of Nature; Gravis, Master of Gravity; Jacob, Master of Sound; Camille, Master of Form; Shade, the Master of Shadow; and Neuro, Master of the Mind. Soon, Kai starts to have feelings for Skylor as well as rivalry with Karlof, since he has feelings for her too.

Only One Can Remain: The Ninja arrive to Master Chen's island where Garmadon tells them Chen was once his sensei who taught him evil things. He also claims he was a traitor during the Serpentine wars who joined the snakes. After losing, he was banished to the island forever. They go to Master Chen's monastery, where he tells the contestants they are in a competition where "Only one can remain", which was also the creed of the Anacondrai (a tribe of the Serpentine). For the first round, they have to obtain Jade Blades (which allow you to stay in the tournament). There is enough for everyone but one person. The Ninja and the contestants all obtain Jade Blades, except for Karlof, who is then out. The Ninja plan to find Zane, so they take a secret passageway under Kai's room. Kai and the Ninja spy into Skylor's room, and see she can use the power of fire. They also visit Master Chen disguised as cultists. They realize that Master Chen did not host the tournament for fun, but to drain all the powers of the elemental fighters, as he had drained Zane's and Karlof's. The Ninja's chocolate tattoos then melt, but they escape. However, Clouse, Chen's second in command has his pet snake chase the intruders and discover their identity.

Versus: Zane has lost his memory, but regains it after meeting P.I.X.A.L. in the other room. He discovers P.I.X.A.L. has been scrapped but he puts her hard-drive inside himself, becoming compatible with her. However, he gets captured again. Meanwhile, Gravis has to fight Griffin, Bolobo has to fight Neuro, and Kai has to fight Ash. The winners Griffin, Neuro, and Kai advance in the tournament. Clouse decides to get revenge on the Ninja for intruding Chen's room and changes the brackets so Jay and Cole fight each other. The Ninja try to get help from Neuro, but he fails to break into Chen's room. Cole and Jay eventually have to fight each other. However, Cole and Jay fight side by side until Cole gives up the Jade Blade to Jay and gets out of the tournament.

Ninja Roll: Kai learns Skylor has the power of adaption. Also, Elemental Masters must compete in a roller skating competition, or ThunderBlade, in this case. Only Lloyd and the Master of Form are competing, but the other elemental masters may hurt or help anyone they wish. The person with the most points after time runs out wins. The only people who are willing to help Lloyd are the ninja and maybe Neuro. After telling the other masters Chen's real plan to steal their elemental powers, most people ally with the ninja. After many laps, the Master of Form crosses the finish line, breaking the tie.. However, she was missing her Jade Blade, which was needed to earn the point, leaving Lloyd as the victor. Meanwhile, Cole, Karlof, and the other masters that have lost are forced to work for Master Chen's noodle factory. The Master of Sound tries to escape, but is caught. However, Cole sees Zane's prison, promising to release him. Nya also uses her new car to locate the Ninja on Chen's island.

Spy for a Spy: The Ninja form an alliance with the Elemental Masters and convince them about Chen's plan. Meanwhile, Nya and Dareth go to Chen's palace. Nya is disguised as a Kabuki, while Dareth is supposed to hide but just has fun. Nya sneaks into Chen's study and finds out that Chen actually wants to turn himself and his followers into Anacondrai. She rips the page from the book, but some of Nya's makeup gets smeared on the book and Chen finds out that Nya is a spy. Chen finds out about the ninja's alliance, and tells everyone he is not stealing the masters' powers for his own good, but to give the completed staff to the "Ultimate Master". The ninja realize that there must be a spy in their midst. They put everyone in Kai's room, and investigate everyone for the Mark of the Anacondrai, a tattoo that all of Chen's followers have. The Master of Shadow and Skylor refuse to be inspected. The Master of Shadow escapes the room with his power, and Skylar convinces Kai (who is still in love) to not check her.

Spellbound: After Nya stole Clouse's spell, Chen drops all of the masters from a helicopter into the forest and commands that whoever finds Nya wins the tournament, but the ninja want to find Nya to save her. Lloyd also learns how to use a green version of the Golden Dragon with his power while falling. While searching, Garmadon tells Lloyd the story of how Master Chen started the war, and then went to the side of the Anacondrai. The masters were almost beaten until Garmadon sees someone controlling a small cobra with a flute and wonders if it would work on the Serpertine. These were used to defeat the snakes. Because of Garmadon's quick thinking, he is given a seat on the jury to banish the Anacondrai to the Cursed Realm, and even does it himself. Meanwhile, Chen captures all the Elemental Masters, Nya, and Dareth; except for Garmadon and Lloyd. Kai also finds out that Skylor is Chen's daughter.

The Forgotten Element: Master Chen drains out all the Master's powers but Lloyd. He has Kai betray Lloyd and trick him into battling Chen. Chen uses the Elemental Powers and wins, obtaining Lloyd's element. However, Kai and Skylor take Chen's staff and destroy it, releasing the powers back to the Elemental Masters, who have escaped from the Noodle Factory.

The Day of the Dragon: Although all the Masters have escaped, Clouse realises that Skylor's adaption ability can still be used to gain all the Elemental Powers. While Skylor and Kai attempted to escape from Chen, but were captured by Kapau and Chope. Clouse tries to banish Garmadon to the Cursed Realm, but Garmadon escapes and Clouse gets himself stuck inside the portal. Zane, Kai, Jay, Cole, Karlof, Griffin, Shadow, Tox, Paleman, Gravis, Cleo, Neuro, Bolobo, and Jacob all learn to that they have a stronger power in them - a dragon power - and all the Elemental masters follow Chen and his army to Ninjago city.

The Greatest Fear of All: Master Chen uses the spell, turning his men, himself, Skylor, and Garmadon into Anacondrai, the strongest warriors ever to do battle. With the Anacondrai on the loose, the Ninja visit Ninjago's worst jail. There they meet the shrunken Pythor and ask for his assistance. Coincidentally, Master Chen has learned the spell has temporary effects and only an essence of a true Anacondrai can make it permanent; capturing Pythor.

The Corridor of Elders: The ninja and fighters discover there's a strategic location called the Corridor of Elders where they can make their last stand against Chen's Anacondrai army...but even with the new Destiny Bounty, their forces still aren't strong enough. Fortunately, Pythor escapes Chen's clutches and discovers there is one spell in the Book of Magic that could stop the war, but at a serious cost. Garmadon has to banish himself to the forgotten realm in order to release the spirits of the real Anacondrai Generals not before telling Lloyd that while he yearned to create the world in his image, he never knew he already had in his own son. The spirits then banishes Chen and his army to the curse realm and the war is stopped. Skylor, who's no longer an Anacondrai, decided to run her fathers noodle business. The episode ends with Lloyd, Wu, Misako and the Ninja burning the spellbook and saying words about Garmadon and the introduction of a new enemy, Morro.

Season 5: Possession (2015)

In an epic quest to save Lloyd, the Ninja will travel to uncharted lands, meet new allies and gain powerful weapons, unlock unknown powers, all while battling the supernatural Cursed Spirits in an effort to stop Morro from releasing his new Master – The Preeminent, a monstrous deity from the Cursed Realm seeking to curse all of Ninjago.

Winds of Change: Lloyd goes to the museum and gets possessed by Morro. Meanwhile, the ninja get new outfits and they advertise about Sensei Wu's new tea shop. At first the people aren't interested in it but they use their powers and everyone buys tea. Then Lloyd comes and fights the ninja. The ninja are surprised as Sensei Wu tells them that they were not his first pupils, Morro was the first. Morro was the master of wind, and he used his wind powers to defeat the ninja by possessing Lloyd. The ninja and plus Sensei Wu go to the Destiny's Bounty and zoom away. At last Morro is seen cursing. But then Morro uses his elemental dragon and catches up.

Ghost Story: The Ninja are seen battling Morro using the Bounty 's cannons but Morro get on board fighting Jay and Cole while Zane and Kai accompany WU to imprint the engraving on the staff, meanwhile Cole gets hit by Morro's wind and gets knocked out Nya places the Bounty on autopilot which is a inflatable Darreth, Morro uses green lightning to hit Nya but misses and hits autopilot instead. Morro goes below deck and battle Kai and Zane while the Bounty remains unstable. WU gives Morro the staff after he made an imprint then the Bounty crashes, later WU tells the ninja Morro ' s story. The ninja are then sent to find the tomb of The First Spinjitsu Master while Nya heads back to the shop and finds out she is the Water Ninja

Stiix and Stones: The Ninja travel to the Village of Stiix to find the thief who stole the scroll of Airjitzu, but the self-serving Ronin isn't keen to sell it cheaply so the Ninja must figure out a way to make money on the docks — and when they fail to make enough cash, the Ninja decide to steal it — but have a run in with Morro and the Soul Archer.

The Temple on Haunted Hill: The Ninja hear of another way to learn Airjitzu - from the ghost of Sensei Yang at his haunted temple — but there's a warning; if you are trapped in it by sunrise, you will become a ghost, too. Meanwhile, doubting she's a Water Ninja, Nya quits her training to take Ronin to her Samurai X cave . . . but has a run in with Morro. The ninja face tests based on their fears to get the Scroll of Airjitzu and manage to obtain it, however Cole drops it at the entrance, goes back to retrieve it and it turned into a ghost.

Peak-a-Boo: Now that the Ninja know Airjitzu, they get briefed about how the next stage to finding the tomb is to get 'The Sword of Sanctuary' from Cloud Kingdom, which can only be reached from the top of the Wailing Alps. The Ninja go on the treacherous mission up the tallest peak in blizzard conditions using their mechs, but Cole struggles with his ghostly form.

Kingdom Come: In Cloud Kingdom, a realm where destinies are written, the Ninja must get the Sword of Sanctuary, a powerful relic that can see past the traps surrounding the tomb of the First Spinjitzu Master — but tensions are high as Morro's escape from the Cursed Realm has put the future in chaos, and they won't give the Sword to the Ninja unless the Master Writer meets them personally.

The Crooked Path: The Ninja now have all the items they need to get to the tomb of the First Spinjitzu Master but before they can figure out the last riddle that leads to the location of the tomb, Ronin steals the sword to give to Morro in exchange for his soul, and the Ninja and Nya are unable to stop him.

Grave Danger: The Ninja use Ronin's airship, REX, to travel to the tomb of the First Spinjitzu Master, in an underwater cave, only to find out Morro is already there — and the Ninja must traverse the temple traps without the aid of the Sword of Sanctuary in a desperate attempt to get to the tomb first.

Cursed World:

Part I - When Morro uses the Realm Crystal to open a portal to the Cursed Realm, ghosts take over the town — but the Ninja, in disguise, manage to get Lloyd to the center of the town and Lloyd steals the crystal . . . only to discover it's too late as the Preeminent arrives.

Part II - As the ghosts converge around and mobilize the Preeminent into a hulking giant behemoth, the Ninja use Airjitzu to fight the mobile beast in an attempt to slow it down — while, at the same time, Lloyd faces off with Morro, battling over the Realm Crystal; a fight that takes them in and out of different realms. When Morro emerges victorious, Nya discovers her true potential in order to save the day. In the end, Lloyd is brought back to Ninjago and is now on the path to becoming a Sensei after wearing his father's robe.

Season 6 (2016)

Not much is known about Season 6 except that the Ninja will be on the run and hiding. A police chief has accused them of crimes and Ninjago's citizens want them captured. All of their known hideouts and the Destiny's Bounty have been seized. At SDCC 2015 Lego revealed little bits of information on Season 6. Such as Yang's Haunted Temple appearing in Season 6, Dareth having a bigger role in Season 6, Skylor will appear in someway in Season 6, Cole will learn new ways to use his Ghost abilities, there will be a new Ninja and Nya and Jay's relationship will have some effect on the Season. Lloyd is away to begin his training to become a Sensei which means he might not be in Season 6.

LEGO Games

On the same day as the release of the original 17 sets, a board game from the Lego Games theme was released in the United Kingdom using elements from the Ninjago theme.[17]

Spinners (Spinjitzu)

In 2011 and 2012, Ninjago featured a two player spinner game, where you spin give your character a spinner, and a one of its three weapons. You spin your characters at each other while saying "NINJAGO!". The first character to fall be knocked of its spinner and/or lose its weapon loses. If you lose, you have to give up your weapon to your opponent. Cards, spinners, and golden weapons give you advantages. The first to obtain all of his/her opponents weapons wins.

Flyers (Airjitzu)

In 2015, a new line of battle games was introduced. There are six sets total for the first wave. These include Kai, Jay, Cole, Zane, Morro, and Wrayth. The sets include many weapons, a character, a ripcord, a buildable handle, and a flying disc to put the character into. The Airjitzu ninjas all have their Japanese Symbol at the front and their "face" thing at the back. Morro has his Japanese symbol at the back and Wrayth has none.
