Excerpt
Excerpt: This report presents the results of our review of the effectiveness of Internal Revenue Service (IRS) actions to resolve the certification and accreditation vulnerabilities associated with the computer security material weakness. The Department of the Treasury requested that the Treasury Inspector General for Tax Administration (TIGTA) provide an independent assessment of the effectiveness of the IRS? actions to address the material weakness. This report is from one of five reviews conducted during this fiscal year to meet this request.
