Excerpt
Excerpt: We recommended that the IRS verify the results of its inventory reconciliation process prior to forwarding ADP Certifications to the Commissioner and fully implement the Single Point Inventory Function to ensure the accuracy of the inventory and to minimize the risk of continued criticism of its financial records. IRS management agreed to the recommendations presented in this report and has developed an implementation schedule for its corrective actions. Management?s comments have been incorporated into the report where appropriate, and the full text of their response is included as an appendix.
